About Us

The three-star Best Western Glendower Hotel offers the best of what a modern hotel should be: family-owned and managed to ensure that personal touch that makes time away so enjoyable, yet backed by the global support of the Best Western organisation.

We chose to become a Best Western hotel to further underline our guarantee of quality hospitality that our guests have enjoyed for many years. We share Best Western’s commitment to quality, facility management and customer care. To quote from their website: All Best Western hotels are independently owned and managed, so while we guarantee consistently high levels of quality and service, we also make sure you have a unique and enjoyable experience.” We couldn't have said it better ourselves!

So how do we make your stay unique and enjoyable?

Firstly, our great location: the hotel is ideally placed within easy reach of sophisticated Lytham, elegant St. Annes and bustling Blackpool. The graceful Victorian hotel is a mere pebble's throw from the beach and an easy stroll from St Annes town centre where guests can indulge in a little retail therapy or perhaps take a (sometimes bracing) stroll along the famous white sands. St Annes has many attractions for both adult parties and families such as Pleasure Island, the pier, Ashton Gardens, Promenade Gardens and Fairhaven Lake which is within 15 minutes walking distance where you will find a boating lake, tennis courts, bowling greens and an RSPB Centre. Sand yachting, wind surfing, sailing and horse riding are also available locally. For those looking for livelier entertainment, the attractions of Blackpool are a few minutes by car or convenient public transport.

Good food and drink is important to our guests and also to us. Relax in one of our spacious lounges where you can enjoy morning coffee, afternoon tea, a selection of cakes and a choice of light snacks. Enjoy a drink with friends in the bar, or on our terrace in the summer months where you will gain an appetite for an excellent evening meal in informal surroundings.

Our elegant restaurant has a reputation for excellence, and the varied menus offer an extensive choice of dishes from a creative team of chefs, complemented by a fine wine list. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for, and your special requests are always given the closest attention.

Rooms

All our 60 bedrooms, some with scenic sea views, are en-suite and comfortably and pleasantly decorated. There is a range of sizes sleeping from one to four persons. The Glendower takes care to provide those little extras such as hair dryers, newspapers and early morning calls. In-room facilities include direct dial telephone, colour television and beverage tray.

Health and Fitness Club

The leisure suite provides an antidote to the stresses of the day. The fully-equipped gym is especially popular with our convention guests who may be working during the day and look forward to a de-stress in the evening. Enjoy a swim in the heated pool, a workout in the free weights room, or take advantage of the sauna and soothing Jacuzzi. For that ultimate feeling of well-being why not follow your exertions with a relaxing sunbed.

Snooker players are well catered for with our full-size competition standard table.

Parents using the health & fitness club can relax in the knowledge that their children will be kept busy in the adjacent play area.
